Live Tournaments and Events - Posting rules and Charter for organisers

The poker forum welcomes all information regarding upcoming tournaments, both online and at a venue. We are pleased that organisers or other better informed members see Irish Poker Boards as an important forum to communicate poker related events.

However, Irish Poker Boards has a responsibility to its members and cannot be seen to endorse any event that could potentially cause any issue. Therefore, the following criteria must be met within the body of your post otherwise your thread will be closed and removed.

Update note: It would be a nice touch if organisers posted results of posted tournaments.

    1. Who is running the event (organisation, society etc) -
    2. The purpose of the event (charity, commercial etc) -
    3. Date -
    4. Location -
    5. Any guaranteed prize pool -
    6. Registration and Start time of event -
    7. Any prerequisites (member of club, society etc) -
    8. How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (in advance, at the door etc) -
    9. Type of Tournament (Hold'em/Omaha etc Freezeout/Rebuy etc) -
    10. Cost of entry -
    11. How much of the entry fee is made up of registration fee -
    12. If a rebuy, cost of rebuys/top-up -
    13. How many and what duration are rebuys available -
    14. How long is late reg, and will you start with a full stack?
    15. % of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into prize fund -
    16. How many places being paid -
    17. Is any money from the prize fund held back for future tournaments, if so, how much -
    18. Any tickets for future events given out as prizes. If so, how many -

at least if they told us how many runners there were and the payout structure, that would be a great advance

Well the Macau are still banned.

We decided that because they were banned from boards because of actions against the community (i.e. not answering questions asked by the community) as opposed to solely boards rules, we'd continue on the ban, but one angle we didn't discuss was that IMO their re-reg ban wouldn't carry over, so therefore IMO the door is closed ATM, but not completely bolted closed as it was on boards. We didn't discuss it in great detail so this is still up for final decision if the situation even arises, it might not amount to a hill of beans, the organisers have to use the place first.
