spotted this horse last night,form in nothing to wright home about......but is irish trainers Robert Tyner only horse running in england today,he knows a thing or two about landing a race like this,the money has come in a big way for this one this morning and was as big as 25/1 last night and is now best priced at 10/1,obviously a lot of value has gone at this stage but still worth a little pop @ 10/1 in a race that doesnt seem to take a lot of winning

the horse is in the form of its life and i've backed this one three times,it won @8/1 and 9/1,and came 2nd,worth a bet today with just 10-2 to lump around 2m7f on ground it seems to handle well
edit,is also 5lbs ex and jockey has won on him before,another plus i would think

the fav here is the willie mullins trained Well Read Man,and lets face it will most probably be in the mix where it matters,but at 6/4 not the best value imo,i've gone for the above as what i think could be value at the price,the trainer has a decent enough record in these bumper races,has a decent jockey on board with robbie McNamara,and the breeding is interesting(br g Alderbrook-Complainingbut (Dr Massini))with alderbrook the eyecatcher,worth a little pop imo

no joy yesterday,Sea Saffron finished in 3rd,think the distance was a little short tbh,the longer the distance the better he is,if yesterdays race was over 3m1f plus think he could have won it,btw its worth looking back at this race and having a look how the horse runs,not for the first time the jockey was pushing away from about a mile into the race and at times looked like a spent force,he seems to run the same over longer,my point being next time he runs over say 3m plus could be a nice value when betting in running,i've never done this before and i not sure how this works,but the horse seems to be putting its best work in towards the end,just something to think about!

Knockaderry was well punted and was up with the pace before folding when the pressure came on,not sure about the horse tbh

Fishoutofwater ran no race at all

Silent Rage,looked like it needed the race,and in fairness to the jockey,he did everything he could to get the horse into the place money,never gave up on him,think the lack of horses experience under rules didnt help,but you know what,think given time this horse could well pick up a race or two,worth sticking in to the horsetracker

won last time out of 8-2 with 7lb ex, but is today 8-12 to carry in a much harder race....but on the plus side,has a great draw and Fallon on board,the ground here to day is soft/heavy,below is a discription of how it won its last race over distance in heavy ground

pulled hard made all, raced alone under stand side rail, quicken clear entering final furlong, edged left, comfortable

no joy again yesterday,Just Past Andover finished 2nd,ran well enough i guess,the trick at chester in these 5 furlong races is to get in front and stay in front,Absolute Crackers ended up in 7th,the horse won last time out in cork which is a long sweeping track with a 3 furlong straight finish,chester well isnt!,the track comparison not the best

a lot of money for Lexi The Princess this morning but i,m going to go for the above for the following reasons,
1,draw advantage,Annaley My Darling has a decent draw from 5,important in a 5 furlong dash at chester
2,came 2nd in its one and only run over distance on the 26th apr,didnt seem to have much behind mind you,but seems to be going the right way.
3,the breeding suggests that it might handle the going with Shamardal winning a decent race in longchamp back in 05 on soft ground
fairly solid in the betting market so far and worth a wee punt at the price

going for a right hero bet here with the one above,i see hugh taylor tipped up david Marnanes Seanie and with good reason,winning a decent race at fairyhouse last year on soft/yeilding,i taking a similar approach with boris grigoriev,recent form is very poor but when you look back at the history(last year) its imo fairly good,was a 3 lenght 3rd to fire lily,(who went on to better things at longchamp later)on yeilding,in fact the form on soft/yeild only, reads 232 all behind some decent horses,if the horse can recapture any sort of form on the ground that can only help the horse at this stage,as shown yesterday at this track,strange things can happen,at the odds,i'll give it a tenner!

The sprint track at Cork has been deemed unfit for racing meaning the five-furlong race on tomorrow's card has been cancelled.
the ground here is soft,and the above won last time out on heavy over 5 furlongs,staying on in the final furlong,this is over 6 furlongs which the horse has won a few times.on the 21st apr it came 1/2 lenght 2nd over 6 in good/yeilding to maarek,that form received a very good boost when maarek went on to win on soft in newmarket last week picking up the bones of £27k in a very Competitive Handicap,worth a pop to take on the fav at the odds

i,m taking on the fav(Beeves) here who is priced up at 4/5,so rustic ran for the first time on good ground,last time out, finishing a two lgt 4th off 11-4,is irish trained and this is the first time the horse has raced outside ireland,and is to-day off 11-0,on the other hand beeves has only run on soft/heavy ground in both point to point and under rules,did win last time out but breeding suggests that perhaps soft/heavy is the horses best ground

i,m taking on the fav(Beeves) here who is priced up at 4/5,so rustic ran for the first time on good ground,last time out, finishing a two lgt 4th off 11-4,is irish trained and this is the first time the horse has raced outside ireland,and is to-day off 11-0,on the other hand beeves has only run on soft/heavy ground in both point to point and under rules,did win last time out but breeding suggests that perhaps soft/heavy is the horses best ground

3rd last time out over a mile off 8-13,the winner of that race has gone on to win since,this is over 1m2f which could suit the horse,has 8-7 with 5lb ex and a very good jockey in Raul Da Silva,priced up on only 3 firms as of now with powers going 8/1,the others going 6/1

so rustic ran and jumped like a wet sock,looked in trouble after a few furlongs,pity as the trainers only other horse running in sedgefield won the bumper,just picked the wrong horse!Hamilton Hill ran a great race going down by just a neck second,again no returns on the day!

judies child came 2nd last time out to a in form horse off a weight of 9-10,is off 9-7 here and has smullen on board,would think if the horse comes on from its first run,could be in the mix
red sea poll finished 2nd last time also in its first run back this season off a weight of 8-7,is off 8-4 here and again would think it might come on a little from that run,going to try a 1 point rfc,hopefully we might see them fighting out the finish

skinny enough price but won its maiden well, before finishing 4th to Tannery,that form got a massive boost when Tannery went on to land a listed race picking up a first prize of 39k,3rd in that race has since gone on to win as well,first time over 1m4f but with Motivator in the breeding,should obviously get the distance

yup,had 20 e/w on him,only ever lost money on him just the one time when he finished 2nd by a head(always backed e/w when 4/1 or better)the one above won yesterday @ 12s as well,at least the horse tracker list is starting to pay,finding it hard to keep the log going as i just dont have the time to put into it at the mo(thankfully)but as soon as things slow down again.i'll start updating it again,breaking even more or less which is fine tbh,considering i'm only at this lark for a short while,keep a eye out for Legendary Times in roscommon on monday,if the horse runs,think the track might suit the horse better(if you see it running in Gowran Park any time in the future,just back it trust me on that)also keep a eye out for a horse called true verdict,the Connections really like this horse,went from a 1/2 length second in a 14k maiden to a 1/2 length second in a 67k listed in her two races to date,definitely one to keep on the right side off.

just had a look at the irish racing today,and have gone to limerick 5.50 for a nibble,a mares flat race over 2m4f and of course w.p. mullins has the fav with Dani Catalonia priced up at 11/10,has finished 2nd in its last two races,i'm going for a Philip byrne trained horse called Roisin Dubh @ 8/1 e/w,has finished 4th and 5th over two miles,with the extra few furlongs might help(breeding on the dam side)and with derek O'connor on board is another plus,might be a little value in a race like this

a little unlucky perhaps today with castle guest backed into 3/1 and just not getting home with the extra weight,was up 14 lbs and beaten into 4th just a 1/2 lenght behind the winner so no place money back,shelford was backed into 15/8 and won well,giving me back a total of 8 points,a small profit on the day but it could have been sooooo much better.
