€1,000,000 GTD 2020 Irish Open - 6th-13th April - Citywest Hotel Dublin

The Irish Poker Open Festival Launches for 2020 with
€1,000,000 Guaranteed Main Event

Paul O’Reilly and JP McCann are proud to announce details of the 40th Anniversary of the Irish Poker Open, which will take place from 6th April – 13th April 2020 in the prestigious Citywest hotel, Dublin. The buy-in for this event will remain at €1,150 and the festival will once again feature a full schedule of events to capture the imagination of poker players at an affordable buy-in level.

This years will see the return of the festival to the Easter weekend in Ireland. There are 4 starting days for the main event with Day 1A kicking off on
Wednesday the 8th April, with another 31 events including 13 Championship events, with the introduction this year of
a Mixed 8 game, Irish and Tag Team Poker.

Online satellites will take place on partypoker, Paddy Power/Betfair and a great series of packages on the iPoker Network worth €2,500 from January.

“It’s always exciting to launch the Irish Poker Open each year. The 2019 event smashed its €1 million guarantee after attracting 1,807 entrants to
generate a massive €1,805,870 prize pool and a first prize of €300,000. We were taken aback by the support this year in the poker community,
we continue to listen to all the feedback and strive to make improvements to ensure Europe’s oldest poker tournament remains the
people’s tournament, with a lot of craic on the side”

The Irish Poker Open is the longest running No Limit Texas Hold'em poker festival in Europe and the second most historic in the world after the
World Series of Poker, Las Vegas. First organized in 1980 by Terry Rogers, a well-known Irish bookmaker, the tournament is now world famous
for its electric atmosphere, the famous poker faces that return every year including some of the old guard and the general craic that is had by
all every night in the hotel bars.

Would you have any idea how many of the 1,807 participants last year came through satellites versus buying in directly?
