Hi Guys,

The JP Poker Masters now in it's 6th year will be held at City West Hotel, Dublin from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th March.

This years Masters will be held during the Norwegian Poker Championships which kicks off on Friday 15th March. The festival itself will have a total of 56 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from 60 to 2000 and expects 2000+ players to attend.

I originally planned the JP Poker Masters as a 2 day event, but after doing the structure I discovered that this was an unrealistic target as Day 2 would have to play from 2pm to 7am the next day before we would have our Champion.

As a result we will play Day 2 until we reach the final table and return on Sunday 24th March at 2pm.

I know a lot of players liked the idea of a 2 day event for the Masters this and hope bringing back the final table for day 3 won't discourage to many players.

I would imagine it is 125 (normal prizepool) +100 (scalp) +25 (reg)= 250

I know you guys are probably (and hopefully) rushed off your feet out there, but do you intend to update numbers per event anywhere (if somewhere else could you link please)? I know you had a thread the other day with something like that in it, but with so many events I'd be afraid to turn up and find there are only 15 runners or so for a particular event, and I do intend playing at least once during the festival, but would rather there be a reasonable number expected. It would be handy, and I suspect others might find the info useful as well. Doesn't need to be updated several times a day, every couple of days even would give good indications if you have the time.

When I get in today I will post the numbers we have had so far. Expecting it to be relatively quiet today. From Tuesday it will probably be manic with very large numbers in all games, if last year was anything to go by. Will try my best to update at least once a day.

Hi Vituperio,

We no satellites scheduled for any of the major events.
Most players are playing the turbos as satellites for the bigger buy-in tournaments.

If there is enough interest to run 1 or 2 tables satellites we will from the cash game area.

I also have a satellite with 5 tickets GTD in my club tomorrow night http://www.irishpokerboards.com/foru...ad.php?t=16891

Hi JP,
Obviously, wont be driving up for the satellite in your club on Wednesday for your Masters, but I will be driving up on Friday to play in the tournament.

I know its starting at 8pm. Will you post here if you have any plans to run a satt (turbo even) earlier in the day as id leave early if there was one on.

Either way, see you on Friday. GL with the festival.

Hi Connie,

I'm almost 100% sure there will not be a sat for the Masters on Friday. If there is interest, tables and dealers available, I'm sure he would run 1 table SNG's in the cash game area.

Today and tomorrow are going to be busy, so not sure if JP will be on.

Hope this helps.
