    Double Up ICM spot

Just playing a couple of Super Turbo Double Ups to get my points in early for the Last Man Standing Promo

    6 handed - 3 get paid, 3 get nothing

Not sure if this is straightforward, but what's our move in this spot?
What about if we have 1k less chips?

    No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 600/1200 Blinds (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Stacks in Red after blinds/antes paid

    MP (t340) 220
    Button (t1470) 1350
    Hero (SB) (t4360) 3640
    BB (t2290) 970
    UTG (t540) 420

    Hero's M: 2.42

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 9
    3 folds, Hero ???

For 370 more surely its a call i really hate these games.
even with 1k less id shove far from safe given our stack size
and in tehse bloody things shortys keep getting doubled up balls way to play poker even if profitable imo

      I shove i think.

I hated your shove directly after doubling up off me aswell i think its pretty unneccesary. I think you had K4 & the other guy had 1010.

970 more to me Mick. Leaves me with 2670 if i lose. If i'm 1k less starting the hand i'm down to 1670 with 2 really short players coming into the blinds. I think it's a call myself but wondering if ICM says so

        This one..

Yeah this isn't a double up obv but i thought it was at the time which i think makes it a shove. That's the problem with mixing Super Turbo STTs and DoNs. I don't hate it tho

ICM here really affects the caller of your shove. Def shove for me anyway, believe it or not the BB if anyway good shouldn't be calling you with out a hand. Although, it's mainly 45 man thinking on my part.

Dislike the k4 shove aswell btw.

Yeah i'm actually interested from his POV aswel because he's in the SB next hand. Might have been more interesting if i did a reverso and was in the BB holding the A9

I think he has to fold if he's in the BB with A9 and you shove in imo with the other stacks sizes.

Sorry should have known something was up
id fold people saying he should fold depending on the stakes he probably calls it off
these games are anti poker imo
id fold relative to otehr stacks we have lots of chips we dont have to win it oiutright we can come 3rd and scoop.

If the BB is playing somewhat optimally then it's a shove. He has to have a pretty tight calling range (if he considers ICM in any way)
