    Changing alerts on HTC Desire

    I have gmail and hotmail coming into my phone and it makes the same noise as a text message. Now I usually see the messages on my comp so don't like jumping to get my phone when I think I have a text,

    Is there a way to change the tone for emails away from that of the text message?

          Yeah but it doesn't give me an option to change for email notifications though. I been in there looking TD
