Welcome to Live Help, my name is Christina. How can I help you today?
Hello there, I just logged a few minutes ago and it seems my account is suspended, i'm just wondering why ?
    peterswellman is my username
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com would be my e-mail

Can I please get your name also?
    David Connors
Thank you. Now before I proceed with your query, can you provide me with the answers to your Security Questions on your account?
Could you please confirm the last 4 digits of your Credit/Debit card?
    XXXX
    Thank you. One moment please.
That would be the laser card i may have used if not my credit card would be XXXX it's been awhile since I accessed my account so unsure as to which I used
Ok, please bear with me one moment while I look into this for you.
    Thank you. No problem
I am sorry to have to inform you that your Sports with Paddy Power has been closed. The decision to close your account has been based upon commercial grounds and does not in any way affect your credit worthiness. We will not be able to reopen this account. I apologise for the inconveniance caused.
    'Commercial grounds'?
Yes this is a business decision. I would not have any further information in relation to the decision im afraid.
Could you put me in contact with someone who would, this is a baffling decision to be honest?
I'm afraid we cannot communicate any further information on the subject as this is a business decision. I do apologise for this.
How can you possibly just suspend someones account for no apparent reason? Needless to say I have never had any huge bets, withdrawals, account problems. I have merely placed small bets and played a small piece of poker and now i'm being told my account is suspended on a decision I can't even be told about. Can I talk to someone, a manager maybe? I appreciate your help.
Unfortunately there are no senior members of staff available on our chat facility at this time. If you wish you can email a complaint to customersecurity@paddypower.com and they will respond to you as soon as possible.
Above is a copy of a Livechat with Paddy Power livechat customer service rep. Now basicially I do the majority of my betting in shops and/or Betfair. I had realised though that PP were running a market for the Irish Open and there was a few nice prices so I thought I would deposit some money and place some small bets. Nothing major and I got an 'account suspended' message. That is when I contacted Livechat.

I e-mailed them two days ago and still haven't recieved any response. I'm confused by this decision tbh as I have never had any problems regarding this before. My account in the past had been used for a small bit of poker and some very small bets. That's it, nothing dodgy whatsoever. I'm confused by this and i'm just wondering if anyone else has experience anything like this in the past? I know there are also some PP reps on here so maybe they could aid me or at least give me some information towards what exactly the problem was.

    Thanks.

I don't think i've ever availed of a free bet or have any links to other customers. As for winning money, I genuinely can't recall a single sum I have won of note. Unless maybe the odd €50 here and there. Thanks though.

If I had known Ringing up Paddy Power and claiming to know how they rig internet pokers and that "iPoker must die" before yelling "Peter's well, man!" repeatedly down the phone would have resulted in this I'd never have done it

In reality I hope it gets sorted for you, could very well be an account mixup.
Is that how you crash a wedding? yes it is, Bionic Barry, yes it is.

Thats what you get when you request odds for a double that Obama and the Queen are killed before the summer.

No 2 is a bit misleading - winning customers in themselves don't cause any major concern to bookies, what they're looking out for is a pattern of betting that suggests the customer will be unprofitable in the long term.

By far the most likely reason for closure is where the customer is continually arbing on the exchanges or accross other companies.
