Carling Cup, Tue, Exeter V Ipswich

2/1 for an Exeter home win looks really sweet.

Exeter have added plenty of experience this year having avoided going down to League 2 by going unbeaten in their final 3 games last year. Last Saturday in their 16 they included Paul Jones, John O Flynn, Daniel Nordiello, David Noble, Jamie Cureton and Marcus Stewert. All of these are available tomorrow for what is seen as a massive tie for them.

Ipswich on the other hand, after a fantastic result away to Middlesboro at the weekend, are in a trouble already. Of the 11 that started last Saturday, 6 are out. Fullop is on International duty (McCauley and Priskin were also due on duty but have pulled out injured) with Edwards, Kennedy and Norris injured. That leaves 3 experienced players along with an 18 year old who played his first game last Sat and a 21 year old. On the bench they had David Healy, John Stead and 3 x 19 year olds also with a total of zero games between them.

Keane is under pressure for the league and while he will never look to lose any game his main concern here will be to avoid any injurys for Saturdays home game against Burnley. He could well put the bones of an U 21 side out.
