Late stages of MTT - middle PP in SB

CO was stealing my blinds for a while and other good player to my left kept shoving over my raises and I was caught between them and had gone card dead.

I figured I could get him to lay down any pair worse than kings on the flop and thought pot was big enough to protect against getting outdrawn.

I'm not sure if I should have shoved preflop as BB's stack was not an issue and the CO had been very active on my blinds.

With an M of 7.66 would you not be shoving with 77 and hoping to see spmeone call with ace rag?

Edit: Btw I mean shove preflop.

Meh you're not getting 1010+ to fold here as your shove looks so weak but you've only a pot size bet behind so w/e

Have you played back at him before? What has he done in this situation if you have. If you've let him run over you and he then flats a 3 bet from the blinds I would think he has something although he prob reshoves ak pre rather than flatting.

I'm guessing he snaps you with a set/1010/jj/qq/aa

In the previous hour or so I had 3 bet him twice and got him to fold pre. I put him on ace rag but wanted to take down the pot there and my line i though would look like aa, kk or ak. He would have called my preflop shove a bit lighter as i had been very active and the guy two to my left was snapping off my LP open raises so i was running out of options. I should have shoved pre, it was bugging me but I knew he would fold rags to a 2.5x 3bet and when the flop came king high i decided to go for broke than have him outdraw me or steal the pot on the river for 5k.

Just shove pre, you have 20bb there 4.5k in the middle you have f/e.
Plus when he flats there's gonna be so many flops u hate shoving.

straight forward shove pre flop. I was annoyed that I made such a mistake. He had AK so no prizes for his pre flop play either. I was always going bust in this hand.

That min 3bet pre is unspeakably bad. Just ship. Ask yourself why you raised a small amount like that and what your plan was if he shoved/called.

I hate the flop shove as I don't think you get much to fold that's better then 77.

Fwiw, the villain played his hand even worse then you did.
