          Calling pre here is superbad.

Only slightly overshadowed by how bad the river raise is.

These are the sort of hands that you get crushed with in limit hi/low.
You are technically correct...the best kind of correct

I dont see why you would fold preflop. It's a completion 100% of the time from the SB and when it comes back you're getting about 50-1 with deepish stacks and a hand that can will be simple to play postflop. No way I'm folding.

I don't agree Ian, so maybe you can convince me? We're getting 6/1 first time around and less than 5/1 second time around once it's raise. We're calling with a hand that is basically only being played for set value. We probably need at least twice the odds we are getting, because even if we do hit our set, we'll only be picking up half the pot a lot of time. We'll also get outdrawn a fair bit, and it the flop comes all high cards, we'll pick up a small pot a lot of times.

I dont think we can pressume we're playing against donkeys all the time (as in the above situation)

First off, I play alot more high only hands than most in O8. Anyways, this hand, we dont just have a set draw, we have straight and flush potential too. More importantly it's a spot where we have a hand that is super simple to play postflop. We won't be getting into very many tough spots. I would also be planning on bluffing loads of high boards.

Yeah i'll play alot of high only hands myself, but i'd like to have 4 high cards, and hate having a dangler in my hand. I'm never a big fan of a Q high flush because so many times when we're facing a lot of action, we'll be up against Asxsxx.

I play almost exclusively PL08 except for in HORSE so i wouldnt be way up there on FL08

Yeha like it's a spot where I think it's profitable if you play well postflop. Obv QQJT would be much better but i dont think its the worst hand. I've definitely called with worse. Lol.
