Irish Derby, where to stay ?

Me and a few mates are talking about heading down for the Irish Derby this year. I have never been too the curragh, so where is a good spot to stay and head out afterwards?? somewhere lively, we are single lads!!! Which town in the area is best?

Newbridge isn't bad but Kildare town has the festival for the week and Nass would be decent that week.
Also all 3 have casinos in them

          If you pick Naas,

Hotels: The Osprey, Killashee House, Naas Court Hotel, The Town House, The Harbour View. The last two would prob be cheaper than the 1st few. Can't imagine everywhere is sold out but reading above it looks that way.

Nightclubs: Time(young enough crowd 18-21 usually and fairly dead these days for the size of the place but if your in that age group then go there. You get free in to there if staying in The Osprey), The Court Hotel(usually ages 21+ and probably free in if staying in the hotel), Grace's Bar(late license on Fri and Sat, usually all ages and no charge at the door).

McCormacks, Lawlors and Haydens would be the other busy bars on a weekend.

Just off the top of my head, google will give you more accommodation if they're full.

They've changed the schedule this year so the Derby is going to be the last race on the card at 7:40. Also Ronan Keating on after racing, so Dublin might be the way to go alright

Thanks everyone for the info, getting somewhere to stay seems to the the problem for our size of a group if it was 2 no problems but 5 is proving difficult.

Siucra any chance u will give me Evens on Camlot?????? lol u said u have the big prices lmao
